Build a paper trading strategy from congressional filings
Austin walks through a NexusTrade SDK paper strategy built from publicly disclosed congressional trades: installation, signal, options setup, and deployment. The video also shows a separate published bot backtest using stocks and at-the-money calls. That result is simulated, includes fees, and acts only after filings became public. The SDK example is an equity-only paper strategy, not a live brokerage trade.

0:00Here's a step-by-step guide for software engineers who want to make smarter investing decisions.
0:05I'm going to demonstrate it by copying Nancy Pelosi's real public trades.
0:12Step one, we want to download the NexusTrade SDK.
0:16We can do this using npm install NexusTrade.
0:20Number two, we're going to create an API key so we can have access to NexusTrade programmatically.
0:28We're going to set that key in an environment variable never within our code base.
0:35Step three, we're going to create a politician indicator and add it to a dynamic rebalancing strategy.
0:44If we're only trading stocks, this is enough, but if we also want to trade options, we can configure that too in just a few lines of code.
0:57And that's really it.
0:59we'll deploy this strategy in real time so we can see how much money we've made by copying Nancy Pelosi.
1:10When we're ready to go live, we can connect a brokerage account and then start executing fully-autonomous trading, and it really wasn't all that much code.
1:24Leave a comment below for who else we should be copying.
