[Medium] My ChatGPT-Generated Trading Algorithm WILL Beat the Market – A Follow-Up Experiment

Last year, I went viral by showing the entire world that AI could trivially generate highly profitable algorithmic trading strategies… using plain English.

The process was simple. Generate a trading strategy on NexusTrade and optimize it using genetic algorithms. Then, deploy all of the portfolios to see which is more profitable for live-trading. The optimized GPT-Generated strategies were the undisputed champions.

To be clear, this wasn’t a cherry-picked result. I started the experiment on October 10th, and detailed my exact methodology. Theoretically, anybody could’ve followed along and created the exact same trading strategies and would have been widely profitable in that same timeframe. I also gave regular updates, so my early readers were able to follow along. I wasn’t expecting my strategies to have performed as well as they did. They just did.

I ended the experiment before the New Year because I wanted to put my energy into implementing new features for NexusTrade, my AI-Powered automated investing platform. This year alone, I’ve implemented many new powerful features, including an AI financial analysis tool and an AI-Powered stock screener. Now that I have some time to take a breath, I think it’s time to relaunch the experiment and deploy a brand new ChatGPT-generated trading strategy.
