Research from your Claude conversation

Use this route when you use Claude in a browser or its desktop app and want NexusTrade research tools in the conversation. Claude Code has a separate terminal setup. A remote connector lets Claude call account tools without a local server or an SDK key.

Add NexusTrade in Claude

Open NexusTrade Developers and select Add to Claude.ai. Confirm the prefilled name and URL. For manual setup on an individual account, open Customize > Connectors, select + Add, then Add custom connector. Enter NexusTrade and the remote URL below, then Continue.

Review detected authentication, Continue, choose Sign in now and finish with Add. Complete NexusTrade OAuth in the browser. In a new chat, use +, open Connectors and enable NexusTrade.

On Team or Enterprise, an authorized organization owner adds the connector before members connect their own accounts. Claude remote connectors run through Anthropic servers, so use public HTTPS rather than a local preview address.

Verify with a read-only call

Ask Claude to list NexusTrade tools and read an existing portfolio without changing it. Confirm the returned name and ID in NexusTrade. Discovery alone does not prove access to the intended account. If you have no portfolio, begin with the company research task below.

Ask for a company brief you can check

Retain the metric, unit, reporting period, primary filing and publication date for each value. Open the cited filing before relying on the interpretation.

text
Use NexusTrade read-only research tools to compare AAPL reported revenue and operating cash flow over stated filing periods. Cite primary filings and publication dates. Record missing or restated values and distinguish facts from interpretation. Do not create, update, deploy or trade any portfolio.

Continue with a rule after reviewing the brief

If the evidence suggests a testable rule, define its entry, sizing and exit conditions and plan a separate historical test. A cited company brief is not a measured trading result.

Check a missing tool or failed account read

If the tools are absent from a chat, enable NexusTrade under that chat’s Connectors and retry a read-only request. If authorization failed, reconnect through the connector flow and confirm the selected NexusTrade account. A new account may return an empty portfolio list; use the company research request below to check a returned tool result.

Follow the task through to a returned result

Start with the source brief, then freeze a rule for a historical test. The paper guide shows how to identify the running simulated book, read its history and pause it. Check that your current connection grants the required tools before saving or activating anything.

Review a separate brokerage workflow

Public and Tradier deployment use the documented NexusTrade broker connections. The Robinhood guide uses Claude Code with Robinhood’s external MCP server. A paper book does not transfer into a brokerage account by itself; verify the live account, permissions and execution schedule in the selected guide.
