How I Build AI Video Skills with Claude Code and Codex
Austin walks through his AI video workflow: a small initial skill library, iteration with Claude Code and Codex, adversarial conversation reviews, and analysis of published content. Corrections become updates to the skills used for the next video.

0:00I have 145 skill files and two thirds are for creating videos alone Each skill handles a single job that
0:09I need I have a skill that picks my hook a skill that renders my cloned voice and even another
0:16that decides which AI avatar am I using if I want to use one I have some that create sound
0:24effects some that trace background music some that finishes the final cut before I ever see it Here's how I
0:33create all these skills Step 1 I start with a bare minimum skill library I'll use something like HyperFrames I'll
0:41find some open source motion graphics github repo and I'll use something like RunPod which is important for rendering my
0:50AI generated voice Step 2 I'll create the video using Codex and Claude Code and at the very beginning the
0:58videos kinda suck You can actually scroll down on my page for some of my earliest AI videos They're not
1:07all that good at all I'll go back and forth I'll finally create a video that's half decent and then
1:14I do the most important step and you're a software engineer you kind of know it you just never thought
1:22of it I do an adversarial conversation review I say look at all the corrections I made look at all
1:30the changes I had to do one of the things we had to go back and forth on when did
1:34I cut you out and why did I have to do that do an adversarial conversation review and then either
1:43update the existing skill library or create new skills for next time so that next time I try it will
1:50be an easier smoother process My TikTok feed also knows that I'm trying to grow on TikTok and I'll see
1:59all these different videos for how do you use AI to create content or what are the best hooks you
2:05should use for your videos and I'll add them directly into Claude Code using a model like Gemini Flash or
2:13Muse Spark to understand the videos and then create or update my existing skill library Finally I performed the data
2:23analysis After I've created a bunch of content I try to figure out what types of videos work and which
2:30ones don't What hooks work and which ones don't And I do this over and over and over again until
2:37I created an entire skill library to create content that I'm proud of
