NexusTrade: Claude Code for Financial Markets

Austin explains the language-model and tool-harness pattern behind an AI agent, then describes the research, stock-screening, backtesting, watchlist and deployment tools available through NexusTrade and its MCP server.

0:00I use AI so often that OpenAI literally gave me an award for it, and the thing I'm building

0:06is AI that tackles financial markets.

0:09Here's exactly what that means in 60 seconds or less.

0:13To fully understand what I'm building, let's imagine what exactly does Claude Code do under

0:18the hood.

0:20It has a large language model, and it has a harness, and what the harness does is basically

0:25call the language model over and over again.

0:30It also has access to tools, and some of these tools include searching through your files,

0:36finding a particular file, finding a particular block of code, executing command line arguments,

0:44entering and exiting plan mode, just a bunch of tools for accomplishing your task.

0:51So what I've built is an AI agent like Claude Code that tackles financial markets, and the

0:57tools that my platform offers are things like automating financial research, doing deep

1:02research on a stock, querying for stocks to see something like, oh, what are the top 10

1:08AI stocks by market cap, creating algorithmic trading strategies, and backtesting those

1:14strategies on past historical data.

1:17It has tools for updating and managing your watch list, and tools for deploying your trading

1:23strategy.

1:24So what this means concretely is, you can go to my platform, NexusTrade, you can either

1:29go to UI, or you can connect via MCP server, and you can use it to deploy your own trading

1:35bots.

1:35You can create automated investing rules that fire when you want to.

1:40And it also has the suite of tools so you can know what trading strategies you can actually

1:46deploy, what trading strategies should you actually deploy.

1:49I hope this helps.
