0:00If I was a CS student and I wanted to graduate making 100 000 150 000 200 000 per year then this is exactly what I would do step by step And I know this because not only have I already helped dozens of students who are absolutely free by the way I don't make my living helping students I do this out of the kindness and goodness of my heart but I've also myself landed a job in this job market that is fully remote and will pay me over 300 000 per year So if you're a computer science student and you're struggling with AI anxiety you believe the doomers that say AI is going to take your job and you don't know how to land the big tech job of your dreams then stop and save this video In addition to studying LeetCode getting internships whether it's paid or unpaid or even doing research at your university what I would do is I will create a substantial project from scratch For example let's say I like playing video games I would sit down with GBC Six Soul or Astra or Fable and I will create a game like The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim And it wouldn't be like a vibe coded project that did over a weekend It would be substantial It would have hundreds of hours of gameplay I would spend dozens of hours on each character and how they move and how they talk and how they remember you I would have epic quests with epic graphics and then I would do performance optimization So the game isn't like two terabytes It's 190 megabytes I don't know Obviously I'm exaggerating a little bit but the key idea is you want to build a substantial part something that you actually want to use something that you would use every single day and make it a project that can scale By doing this you'll stand out amongst the rest You're not going to look like any random TikToker that looked at Frank News videos and decided to get into computer science No you're going to look like someone that can build real software systems Now who are you going to hire if you're a hiring manager Some guy that can barely solve a medium or someone that built their own version of The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim Leave a comment below and let me know which you'd pick
