Since opening our doors in 1983, we have been a pioneer in Daytime Dining, serving made-to-order breakfast, brunch and lunch using the freshest of ingredients. We have built our brand on our commitment to operational excellence, our culinary mission centered around a fresh, continuously evolving menu, and our “You First” culture. Our focus on one daytime shift enables us to optimize restaurant operations while generating an average unit volume of $2.2 million per restaurant in 2024 in only 7.5 hours per day. This daytime focus also provides us with a competitive advantage allowing us to attract and retain employees who are passionate about hospitality and drawn to our “No Night Shifts Ever” approach, among other attractive benefits. As of December 29, 2024, we had a total of 572 restaurants across 29 states, 489 of which were company-owned and 83 were franchise-owned.

1. OVERVIEW AND BASIS OF PRESENTATION US Foods Holding Corp., a Delaware corporation, and its consolidated subsidiaries are referred to in these consolidated financial statements and notes as “we,” “our,” “us,” the “Company” or “US Foods.” US Foods Holding Corp. conducts all of its operations through its wholly owned subsidiary US Foods, Inc. (“USF”) and its subsidiaries. All of the Company’s indebtedness, as further described in Note 10, Debt, is a direct obligation of USF and its subsidiaries. Business Description—The Company, through USF, operates in one business segment in which it markets, sells and distributes fresh, frozen and dry food and non-food products to foodservice customers throughout the U.S.
The Company is currently evaluating the impact that this standard will have on the Company’s consolidated financial statements. 4. REVENUE RECOGNITION The Company recognizes revenue when the performance obligation is satisfied, which occurs when a customer obtains control of the promised goods or services. The amount of revenue recognized reflects the consideration which the Company expects to be entitled to receive in exchange for these goods or services. The Company generates substantially all of its revenue from the distribution and sale of food and food-related products and recognizes revenue when title and risk of loss passes and the customer accepts the goods, which occurs at delivery. Customer sales incentives such as volume-based rebates or discounts are treated as a reduction of revenue at the time the revenue is recognized.

We have over 90 cash and carry locations to provide more customers with a retail option in between deliveries and to cost effectively serve more price-conscious and smaller customers. Our US Foods Direct™ service more than doubles our product assortment and provides customers with access to thousands of specialty products which ship directly to them from the supplier. Additionally, US Foods Pronto™ service allows restaurant operators to receive smaller orders more frequently. All of these channels provide our customers options to shop their way. 3

Behind the comparison

Sources and methodology

Price return uses split-adjusted daily closes and excludes dividends. Both stocks start on the first shared trading day within the selected window. Unavailable metrics leave gaps.

Financials use SEC canonical statements available by the displayed cutoff, retaining each company's fiscal period end. Annual and quarterly amounts are shown separately. P/E is unavailable when earnings do not support a positive ratio.

Business overlap uses industry tags from annual filings released in 2025. Each core activity receives full weight; each material activity receives one quarter of that weight. Rarer industries carry more weight. We sum the smaller exposure for each shared activity and divide it by the sum of the larger exposure for every activity in either company. This measures business overlap, rather than price correlation or expected returns.

Related comparisons require a shared specific core activity and at least 20% overlap. Broad categories alone do not establish a close peer relationship. Identical classifications can score 100% even when companies sell different products. We select up to ten leading peers per issuer for discovery, combine both directions, and require current common shares, public company profiles and stored price observations. Arbitrary stock pairs remain available.
