Our approach to managing proppant production, logistics, and distributed power solutions operations is intently focused on leveraging technology, automation, and remote operations to drive efficiencies. We are a low-cost producer of various high-quality, locally sourced proppants used during the well completion process. We offer both dry and damp sand and carry various mesh sizes including 100 mesh and 40/70 mesh. Proppant is a key component necessary to facilitate the recovery of hydrocarbons from oil and natural gas wells.
Our OnCore distributed mining network is comprised of 9, built-for-purpose mobile processing plants which produce wet (i.e., undried or damp) 100-mesh sand from leased or customer-owned properties. At each OnCore site, we are responsible for mining and processing the raw sand, selling the finished frac sand products, and reclaiming the disturbed land. The mobility of the OnCore plants provides a great deal of flexibility not afforded to large-scale fixed-plant mining operations.

We serve the oil and gas end markets, and our sand reserves contain deposits of fine grade 40/70-mesh and 100-mesh sizes that API specifies for use in wellsite fracturing operations. We believe that this mix of finer grade sand reserves is in higher demand and meets current industry preferences. Based on the reserve report prepared by John T. Boyd Company (“JT Boyd”), our independent mining engineers and geologists, as of December 31, 2024, we had 592.9 million tons of proven and probable sand reserves at our Kermit facilities, Monahans facility, and OnCore distributed mining network. Our reserves were composed of approximately 44% 40/70-mesh, 37% 70/140-mesh, and 19% of 40/140-mesh substrate sand.

Potash Segment We are one of the leading potash producers in the world. We mine and process potash in Canada and the U.S. and sell potash in North America and internationally. The term “potash” applies generally to the common salts of potassium. Muriate of potash (“MOP”) is the primary source of potassium for the crop nutrient industry. Red MOP has traces of iron oxide. The granular and standard grade red MOP products are well suited for direct fertilizer application and bulk blending. White MOP has a higher percent potassium oxide (“K2O”). White MOP, besides being well suited for the agricultural market, is used in many industrial applications.

U.S. Phosphate Crop Nutrients and Animal Feed Ingredients Our U.S. Phosphates operations have capacity to produce approximately 4.5 million tonnes of phosphoric acid (“P2O5”) per year, or about 7% of world annual capacity and about 60% of North American annual capacity. P2O5 is produced by reacting finely ground phosphate rock with sulfuric acid. P2O5 is the key building block for the production of high analysis or concentrated phosphate crop nutrients and animal feed products and is the most comprehensive measure of phosphate capacity and production and a commonly used benchmark in our industry. Our U.S. P2O5 production totaled approximately 2.9 million tonnes during 2024. Our U.S.
Ammonia is transported by pipeline from the terminals to our production facilities. We have service agreements with the operators of the pipelines for Bartow, New Wales and Riverview, which provide service through June 30, 2025 with two year auto-renewal provisions unless either party objects. Under the CF Ammonia Supply Agreement, we purchased 556,232 metric tonnes in 2024. This contract terminated effective January 1, 2025. We now have agreements with various suppliers to ensure we have reliable sources of supply for ammonia to support competitive pricing in various market conditions. We produce ammonia at Faustina, Louisiana primarily for our own consumption. Our annual capacity is approximately 530,000 tonnes. From time to time, we sell surplus ammonia to unrelated parties and/or may transport surplus ammonia to the Port of Tampa.

Behind the comparison

Sources and methodology

Price return uses split-adjusted daily closes and excludes dividends. Both stocks start on the first shared trading day within the selected window. Unavailable metrics leave gaps.

Financials use SEC canonical statements available by the displayed cutoff, retaining each company's fiscal period end. Annual and quarterly amounts are shown separately. P/E is unavailable when earnings do not support a positive ratio.

Business overlap uses industry tags from annual filings released in 2025. Each core activity receives full weight; each material activity receives one quarter of that weight. Rarer industries carry more weight. We sum the smaller exposure for each shared activity and divide it by the sum of the larger exposure for every activity in either company. This measures business overlap, rather than price correlation or expected returns.

Search eligibility requires distinct issuers, a shared core category and at least 20% weighted overlap, supported by industry or sector evidence and specific business activities. Broad classifications require stronger overlap within the same sector. Comparisons also need at least 252 shared price observations within two years, recent trading and a common sourced revenue or net-income trend. Missing P/E or gross margin alone does not exclude a comparison. The eligibility snapshot refreshes daily. Related comparisons use a separate, stricter peer rule; their ten-peer discovery limit does not limit search eligibility. Other stock pairs remain available in the comparison tool.
