Launching REAL Trading for NexusTrade!
For the past 1.5 years, my app, NexusTrade, was solely a paper-trading and financial research platform. While it helped when trying to find novel investing opportunities and developing paper-trading strateiges, users couldn't actually deploy their strategies to the market.
Today, I'm excited to announce one of the most requested features of the platform – because of a partnership with Alpaca, you can now execute trades within the NexusTrade platform! 🥳
Some caveats:
✅ Slow Rollout: To make sure everything works as expected, I'm rolling this feature out to a subset of users first.
✅ Manual Trading then Semi-Automated Trading: Similarly, I'm starting with manual trading within the NexusTrade UI, and then I'll move to semi-automated trading, which requires the user to review every submitted order
✅ Planned automation: the July 2024 release began with selected-user manual brokerage trading. Approval-based semi-automation was the next stage; this announcement does not show it already available to every user.
The July 2024 announcement invited waitlist signups for the staged rollout. The launch-era manual access, planned approval-based automation and current account availability are separate states.

- 🔄 More strategy capacity: develop additional strategies; funded automation remained subject to the rollout stage described above.
- 🔍 Parameter search: genetic optimization compares historical candidates; it does not ensure the best future performance.
