I single-handedly built the world’s best AI
investing platform. Here’s NexusTrade’s 2024 year
in review
When someone asks me what is the best way to learn
how to trade and invest, I have an unbiased answer –
NexusTrade.io.
I started NexusTrade to empower everybody, including
beginners and non-technical investors, to learn how
to make smarter investing decisions.
NexusTrade is the best way for a new investor to
learn algorithmic trading and financial research,
and I’m not the only person to think so. Just this
year alone, user growth has skyrocketed from 1,703
users to 14,319 users. This is driven by new
features, better research tools, and the launch of
algorithmic trading.
Here’s NexusTrade’s 2024 year in review, a
semi-complete list of the features I’ve launched.
Summarizing this year in review
TL;DR: I implemented
a variety of new features to enhance NexusTrade’s
algorithmic trading and financial research
capabilities. This includes:

Next year, I plan to implement features to make
NexusTrade more tailored for each user’s experience,
and launch several unique features including copy
trading and fully automated algorithmic trading.
Feature-by-feature: What have I done so far in 2024?
Different cryptocurrency trading strategies in
the NexusTrade library
I kicked off the year by adding cryptocurrency
support to NexusTrade. Users can now research,
design, and implement automated strategies for
popular cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin, Dogecoin,
and Ethereum.
The backtest performance of fundamentally strong
AI stocks identified by the AI-Powered Stock
Screener
In tandem with cryptocurrency support, I made a huge
update to Aurora, the AI Assistant in NexusTrade, by
implementing a natural language stock screener. This
screener makes it easy to find fundamentally strong
stocks, such as this
list of AI stocks that has beaten the broader
market since the release of this article.
Throughout the year, I’ve made also made several
enhancements to it. Over time, I’ve made the
screener faster, more accurate, and expanded its
capabilities. What started as a way to find
fundamentally strong stocks has evolved into a way
to find patterns in the market.
For example, in one article I wrote this year, I
described the “Santa Claus rally”, and explained that while stocks tended to go up
in December on average, the increase in stock price
in December isn’t statistically significant.
This is just one example of how traders can make
better decisions by using objective historical data.
Creating strategies using fundamental indicators
Doing financial research for companies isn’t enough;
we also need a way to integrate this type of
research into trading strategies. Thus, I’ve
expanded the NexusTrade indicators, and made it
possible to create strategies using metrics like
revenue, net income, free cash flow, and P/E ratio.
Customized user watchlists
In addition, I didn’t want the research you may have
done for a stock (or list of stocks) to be
forgotten. Thus, I created the most useful watchlist
page of any investing platform.
This watchlist makes it easy to keep track of your
favorite stocks, track them over time, and even
receive curated, daily emails about them. The most
relevant stock news for your portfolio is sent
directly to your inbox! This is game-changing.
Enhanced user profile page, Google sign-ins,
and two-factor authentication

Keeping in theme with adding new pages to
NexusTrade, many pages, such as the profile page,
got a huge revamp. The new profile page is cleaner,
easier to use, and allows you to secure your account
more effectively, for example, by using two-factor
authentication.
I also implemented a
referral page, making it easy for users to share their love of
NexusTrade, and earn rewards for doing so!
GPT-Reports: an AI-generated analysis of every
stock in the market
GPT Stock Reports
Eventually, during the year, I realized that while
NexusTrade was shaping up to be a powerful tool for
advanced traders, more novice investors were being
left behind. Thus, I thought to solve this.
I created
GPT-Stock Reports, an AI-Generated analysis of every stock in the
market. This report was generated by taking each
company’s earnings data and asking GPT to analyze
the stock and give it a rating.
While not a perfect way to analyze a company, this
page is extremely useful for novice investors to
learn how to perform financial research, and look
for the metrics that makes up a successful company.
Most importantly, I’ve completely re-vamped the AI
chat in NexusTrade. I integrated GPT reports into
the chat, so users can find fundamentally strong
stocks that perfectly fits their specific criteria.

Finally, I’ve fully launched the Alpaca integration,
and enabled users to execute real trades directly in
the NexusTrade app!
This integration has transformed NexusTrade from a
financial research app into a real, algorithmic
trading platform for retail investors.
I don’t want to understate how big of a deal this
list of features are. As many of you know,
NexusTrade is a project led solely by me. I am the
designer, the salesperson, the marketing expert, the
chief executive officer, the product manager, and
the engineer. The fact that I was able to implement
such a comprehensive list of powerful features while
working my full-time job deserves props and praise.
But I am not done yet. 2025 will be even bigger,
with some very exciting features coming along the
way.
What’s Coming in 2025 and beyond?
In 2025, my goal is to make NexusTrade even easier
to use, particularly for newer investors who want to
learn about algorithmic trading. This also includes
the launch of one-click to copy strategies designed
by financial advisors, to help investors execute
their first trade easy as possible.
Some of the highest priority features for next year
includes

In-app tutorials and rewards: I need a way to teach users about all of the
features within the NexusTrade platform, while
incentivizing them to explore and try their own
thing. This is one of my first priorities as we
enter the new year

Fully automated algorithmic trading: Fully automated trading is ready to launch, but
before a public release, my goal will be to
implement guardrails and disaster recovery
mechanisms for users who want to deploy their own
fully automated trading strategies.

More cryptocurrency support: With the successful launch of cryptocurrencies, I
plan to continue to expand my offering to every
cryptocurrency supported by Alpaca

User personalization: My goal will be to tailor the NexusTrade
experience depending on one’s skill level, so that
each user gets the guidance and support they need
to be successful

Better sharing and collaboration: With the strategy library being a success, my
next goal will be to allow users to share their
own strategies and portfolios to the NexusTrade
communities. This feature will include
monetization opportunities for verified investing
influencers and financial advisors
Other important features, such as intraday
backtesting and enhanced trading strategy
optimization, are also on the roadmap, but are lower
priority than some of these other features.
While this list might seem like a lot, I’m
absolutely blown away by what’s currently possible
in NexusTrade. I’m fully confident in my ability to
continua improving NexusTrade, so that it keeps its
title as the best trading platform the world has
ever seen.
Concluding Thoughts
When I say that NexusTrade is the best platform for
traders and investors to make more money in the
stock market, you may naively think that I’m biased.
I created the app, and the rose-tinted glasses is
bound to make every red flag look like a regular
flag, right?
Wrong. NexusTrade is objectively a completely new
way for investors to approach financial markets. The
fact that the app is so expansive is nothing short
of miraculous.
