An AI Trading Platform? No fucking way

Before I dive into the community that I’m building, let me discuss the AI-Powered trading platform that’s the centerpiece of it all.

I built NexusTrade with free platform access and paid Premium features. The Discord community is free and I intend to keep it that way. This May 2025 announcement also offered one month of Premium to new community members; that dated promotion is separate from free community membership. The platform examples below show what readers could do with AI:

• It answers the most complicated financial questions accurately with the AI-Powered Stock Screener
• It’s able to dive deep into a company, including news articles, sentiment, and fundamentals using its Deep Dive capabilities
• It helps you test out even the most complicated trading strategies

AI-Powered Stock Screener

For example, in a previous article, I asked every single major large language model to answer this tough financial question:

What biotechnology stocks were unprofitable last year, are profitable this year, have increased their net income every quarter for the past 4 quarters, and have increased their revenue every year for the past 4 years? Filter to stocks with a market cap below $20 billion.

More specifically, I asked ChatGPT, Claude 3.7 Sonnet, Gemini 2.5 Pro, And Grok 3 with DeepSearch this question. Every single language model got the question completely wrong.

The request combines industry and financial filters that need to be checked against underlying records. A plausible answer from training data or web snippets is not enough to establish that every condition was met.

NexusTrade lets me translate that request into a database query and inspect the returned companies.

NexusTrade translates the English request into a database query. Inspect the query, its industry classification, fiscal periods and returned financial records before treating the response as a verified match.

The shown screen returned INSP. Before calling it the unique qualifying stock, check that the query covers the intended universe and that INSP’s industry, fiscal periods and reported figures meet each condition.

But it’s not just the fact that I was able to find this stock… I was also able to “DYOR”, do my own research, just as easily.

Diving Deep into a Business

In the same article from above, I used the AI Chat to generate a deep research report to learn what INSP is and how the business generates revenue.

Do a deep research report on INSP. What is this stock?

While the full transcript is available here, the AI generated the following summary.

In addition to this, I can also use the specialized “Deep Dive” function on every stock’s page. This generates shareable, comprehensive reports on stocks based on its technicals, fundamentals, and news sentiment.

With this feature, we can share our DD reports with others, which I will discuss later when talking about the AI Trading Community that I’m building. As an example, take a look at the INSP report here.

The DD reports are comprehensive and valuable for research, but let’s be honest — at the end of the day, many AI financial tools are essentially ChatGPT wrappers with some business logic and databases bolted on. They can help you research, but when it comes to actually executing trades with precision and consistency, they fall short.
