Building a Better Backtester

I'm excited to announce new features that will help you create the perfect trading strategy! It's a configuration that's long overdue – backtest fee configs!

What is a backtest fee config?

The backtest fee config is a way for you to adjust the simulated fees in a backtest environment. By default, the fees are as follows:

Stocks: 0.1% of the total trade amount
Cryptocurrency: 0.3% of the total trade amount

These fees are also available in the Advanced Settings for the AI Chat, allowing you to create quicktests with certain fees. This makes it much easier to simulate trading with different types of assets with varying amounts of liquidity.

Finally, these options are also available during genetic optimization.

This new feature will help you create more realistic backtests by allowing you to set different fee structures, giving you a clearer view of how your strategies would perform in real-market conditions. Try it out today and let me know what you think!
