Definition

True when a newly public Form 4 version matches the selected owner, issuer, role, instrument and action and awaits a strategy decision. Exact-owner corrections count as new versions. A company CIK without an owner watches every reporting owner at that company, and a joint filing fires once. A handled event does not fire again on later price ticks; unverified owner coverage has no value, and a company is only as covered as its least-covered matching owner.

Parameters

Optional exact owner CIK and issuer CIK, role (Any, Officer, Director, TenPercentOwner, OfficerOrDirector), instrument (Equity, Call, Put), action (Any, Purchase, Sale, Award). Call/Put and Award require an owner or company CIK.

Output range: 1 while a public Form 4 version awaits a decision; otherwise 0

Use in a strategy

Add this indicator to a strategy condition, choose its supported parameters and compare the output with the threshold required by your rule. Preserve the same interval and lookback when comparing backtests.

After saving the condition, inspect its asset, interval, lookback and comparison operator against the parameters above. If no trades occur, check whether the condition ever became true and whether the requested input data exists for that period. A missing input is not a zero-valued signal. An indicator produces an input to a rule. It does not establish future returns, and data availability can differ across assets and periods.
