How the 20 companies were selected (September 16, 2026):
- US companies with a market cap above $2B
- Intrinsiqq quality score of 80 or higher, out of 100
- Price to free cash flow of 25 or lower
- Banks, insurers and real estate excluded, because free cash flow is not a meaningful measure for those businesses
- The 20 highest quality scores from the remaining companies, equal weight
The companies were chosen once and are held. The portfolio rebalances to equal weight each quarter, but the holdings do not change.
This strategy is designed to be judged over 3+ years, not quarter to quarter. Companies that pass a quality and valuation screen have often fallen in price recently, so the strategy can trail the market for extended periods.
