# MCP Tools — Utility
These tools are built into the NexusTrade MCP server and execute directly without an LLM call. They provide agent management, model/prompt discovery, indicator/condition reference, and deterministic portfolio creation.
## Recommended Workflow for Portfolio Creation
1. Use `create_portfolio` to create your portfolio — describe your strategy in natural language
2. Use `backtest_portfolio` to test your strategy historically
3. Use `optimize_portfolio` to find optimal parameters
